Last Days of May 2008

I have been taking Bo to a music class once a week for a couple of weeks now. He has fun but man is his attention span short. About twenty minutes of this forty-five minute class is productive. The rest of the time he spends roaming the room, looking in the cabinets, and trying to escape out the door!! But, all in all, it is fun and that is the most important thing right now.

The video above is the "Hello Children" song that Miss Kristy (the teacher) sings to them each week and then also does a "Goodbye Children" rendition at the end of class as well. Bo likes it when she sings the song to him using his name. The video below is the time in the class where Miss Kristy brings out a big tub of percussion instruments and lets the kids dig through and try them all out. It's loud, a bit crazy, and maybe even a little dangerous!! =) The kids love it!

Friday afternoon we set up Bo's little pool in the backyard and had a great time watching him play in the water. This was his first time to run through the sprinkler so it was a special day as well.

To finish the week, we loaded up and went out to Mom & Steve's. We had time Friday night to get to the pond for some fishing. Low and behold....Matt caught three catfish that night. After $200.00 of different lures, rig-a-jigs, and what-nots......we found the perfect way to fish these ponds. A bobber and a wiener.....go figure! That prompted us to stay and fish again Saturday night. Matt and I caught seven all together and now that we know they do exist, we'll be bobber gawking a lot more!

A few fishing quotes I like:

"Everyone ought to believe in something; I believe I'll go fishing." - Unknown

"Some go to church and think about fishing, others go fishing and think about God." - Tony Blake

" 'Carpe Diem' translated by fishermen.... 'fish of the day'." - Unknown

Below is not something we let Bo do, but something we had to allow for the purpose of capturing on vidoe! What a goober!!
