Bo's first movie!I can't even hardly remember the details from the beginning of this month and if it wasn't for the photos that I've taken from the events I'm not sure I could even remember that they happened!

Fourth of July was great from what I can see from the pictures. We spent the day out in Deer Creek. We started in a neighborhood where the DCFD drives the fire trucks in a small parade. Bo and I rode with Matt in the engine and threw candy to the kids. After the parade a helicopter landed in an open acerage where everyone from the neighborhood had gathered. Everyone was able to sit in and take pictures with the helicopter. Matt and some of the other firemen also drove a truck into the mix and charged a hose for the kids to squirt. It ended up being a giant sprinkler!

After that we spent the afternoon at the Tri-Ta-Ta-Ta. That is Fire Truck Station in Bo's language. He doesn't do F's or S's well yet. He loves hanging out at the station with the guys. We lit a few fireworks there before we headed over to Edmond for the firework show. It had rained that day so the show wasn't as grand as the year before but still great! Bo thought it was cool so that is all that mattered.

Bo has been suffering from an asthmatic cough this year and it has been getting worse. We are just now getting him better from a stint that started right after the DCFD football game that I posted about in the last blog. We are on our third round of different inhalents trying to find the proper meds for his condition. We even went as far as tearing out all the carpet and pad in our house and replacing it with laminate wood floors and in a few areas, new carpet and pad! This all happened the second week of July after 3 weeks of him coughing. We have also limited our dogs to our bathroom when inside. Now after 6 weeks of the asthmatic cough we are beginning to see the end. He is down to a few coughs a day. Asthma is no joke!!! My hope is that he will get better and the episodes will become fewer and farther between with all the adjustments we are making; hopefully to a point in which he will outgrow it.

It took us about a week to complete our floors and just in time for my birthday! Matt and I went to Eischens with some friends from the fire station. I am literally not joking when I say that I ate more chicken than anyone in our party. Thirteen people, most of them firemen and I put them to shame when it came bone to bone. I don't know where it goes but I dread the day when I actually start sprouting feathers after eating there.

It was great to finally get to hang out with the DCFDers and the wives outside of the station! We got to know a lot about each other and that is important considering these guys are risking their lives for one another and for others and the wives are trusting in their ability to keep each other safe. Good stuff!
The weekend after my birthday Matt and I were invited by one of his fellow firemen to play mud vollyball in Mustang for MDA. That was way cool! There are fifteen mud volly courts behind a bar called the Silver Stalion. Some of the courts were knee deep with water and mud! Our team didn't fair well when it came to winning games but we still had a great time playing and hanging out! From what I heard there were around 100 teams! I am still cleaning mud out of my ears a week and a half after the fact!
Let's see...oh yes...we just got back from my family reunion at Ft. Supply Lake. We took Bo this year and man he had a blast! From riding his new John Deer Gator, to throwing rocks in the lake, to playing in the sand, to playing in the park, he had a weekend of outdoor activities. He also got a kick out of living in the RV and having all his family within sight at all times.

RV-ing is definitely one of Matt and I's favorite things to do. I wouldn't be surprised if that is our permanent lifestyle when we are older. It was great to see all of my family and enjoy the beautiful weather we were lucky to receive. I can't wait for next year when the "Hooda Phuqoweez Tribe" meets again. That is our made up Indian name for our group. (Smiling)
Hope you all enjoy the pictures and videos. I will write again probably after Bo's birthday in September!
